“Perhaps the mo…

“Perhaps the most important thing we bring to another person is the silence in us, not the sort of silence that is filled with unspoken criticism or hard withdrawal. The sort of silence that is a place of refuge, of rest, of acceptance of someone as they are. We are all hungry for this other silence. It is hard to find. In its presence we can remember something beyond the moment, a strength on which to build a life. Silence is a place of great power and healing.” ~ Rachel Naomi Remen

  1. I love, love, love Rachel Naomi Remen (you probably know that)…I just finished by 3rd pass through My Granfather’s Blessings and am about to start the 3rd through Kitchen Table Wisdome…she is so insight, wise, comforting…thanks for the delicious quote, Carol.

    • Hi Vicki – I’m glad you saw this one then…and I didn’t mean it to be the case, but I realized after I posted it, that I posted another quote about “silence” just a couple days ago. That must mean something…I need silence. Yes, silence please. Just quiet, healing silence. 🙂
